This is a real toy; engaging, realistic, with a simple mechanical device to raise and lower the forks. 

It is designed with "unbreakable" as a key feature; the wheels are hard maple, the through axles are 1/4" steel. Wheels roll independently on bronze bushings which makes for smooth rolling, manuevering and turning about. The forks are 1/8 thick steel, 5/8inch wide and over 4 inches long. They raise and lower simply by turning the two "upper" easy-grip discs. A simple hand motion, with either right or left hand, moves the forks up and down with 8 1/4" of lift. The lift cord winds on the windlass in either direction and rolls over a little pulley, preventing wear on the cord.  Two pallets, 5" x 4 1/2" are included. Extra pallets are available as an option as shown in the last photo.

I have sold these toy forklifts in the past as a very fun toy with enduring popularity and steady use by their owners. Now it's improved for long life and lots of serious play.
